May31-Apollo Beach FL – New York Senators, Roxanne Persaud and James Sanders, Congresswoman Yvette Clarke, and Guyana’s Consul General Barbara Atherly will attend the Official Launch – Dinner and Dance on Saturday June 8, 2019 in New York at the Royal Empress Hall located at 122-21 Rockaway Blvd, South Ozone Park, New York. Guyana’s Ambassador to the U.S., Dr.Riyad Insanally, will be the guest speaker at the event hosted by the United Guyanese Diaspora Global Network Corp (UGDGN).
The fundraising event will assist with providing back-to-school supplies for primary school children in Guyana, as well as financing a project in collaboration with the International Organization (IOM) for a Skills-Gap Assessment in key sectors in Guyana, including the oil and gas.
UGDGN is committed to promoting and encouraging active diaspora engagement for social and economic development in Guyana by utilizing the collective strengths and potential of a united Guyanese diaspora.
