    A grand victory parade and rally in honor of the victorious collation Government in Guyana, is set to take place on Sunday June 14th from 11:00 am in Brooklyn, New York.

    A grand victory parade and rally in honor of the victorious collation Government in Guyana, is set to take place on Sunday June 14th from 11:00 am in Brooklyn, New York. According to the organizers, the New York City Police Department have already approved the route of the march which begins at Bedford and Church Avenues, and will proceed East  along Church Avenue to Schenectady Avenue where the grand rally will be held.

    The march which begins at 11:00 am will be followed by a rally which begins at the end of the parade. The two part program is set to feature speeches and remarks by a number of Federal, State and Local Politicians. Those invited include US Congresswoman Yvette Clarke, Congressman Hakeem Jeffries and New York City Mayor – Bill De Blasio

    The second phase will see Guyanese performers including Lisa Punch, Jenny Ferreira and Anthony Alleyne.  The expected large gathering of Guyanese (numbered in the thousands), and decked in their Green and Yellow shirts and caps are due to travel from as far as Connecticut, Washington D.C., Atlanta Georgia, Toronto Canada and even Guyana.

    Invitations were sent to Minister of State in the Ministry of the Presidency – Hon. Joseph Harmon and other Senior Government functionaries to grace the event with their presence, as well as offer remarks in relation to the new Government and its expectations.
