Suriname & Guyana discuss cooperation opportunities

The Suriname Ambassador to Guyana, Nisa Kurban–Baboe recently paid a courtesy to Chief-of-Staff, Brigadier-General Mark Phillips to discuss possible opportunities for cooperation between the two countries.

The Suriname Ambassador to Guyana, Nisa Kurban–Baboe recently paid a courtesy to Chief-of-Staff, Brigadier-General Mark Phillips to discuss possible opportunities for cooperation between the two countries.

This is expected to see visits and training exercises between the two Defence Forces. Additionally they have examined the possibility of restarting the Military Games and other sporting activities between the Guyana Defence Force and the Suriname Armed Forces.

Brigadier-General Mark Phillips and Colonel George Lewis will be attending the installation and promotion ceremony of Colonel Ronni Benschop to Commander and Brigadier-General on Tue February 4, 2014 in Paramaribo, Suriname.
