This born and bred proud Guyanese is from the small town of New Amsterdam, Berbice where she was raised in an extended family household. Niketa gleefully recalled that there was never a dull moment at home. This family oriented nature lover, fashion and pageant enthusiast says she didn’t have an easy start in life, relating that she lost her home to a fire at age 15 then her dad at the age of 17.
