GT&T sponsors 10/10 Softball Cricket Finals

In yesterday’s press conference GT&T CEO ‎Yog Mahadeo the day was well planned ‎“Our plans for 10/10 finals always be in a grand way and so this year we have a pack programme, we expect to have as well as the games, entertainment, millions of dollars of giveaways in credit, we also expected to do the final draw of the FANSUV, so we do plan a wonderful day.”

The CEO noted that apart from the two finals, GT&T this year has planned its inaugural international cup which will also be played tomorrow between a GT&T X1 and Canada.

Mahadeo disclosed that GT&T has invested to ensure that talent across the country is showcased. Richard Sukhdeo, head of the organising team, said that GT&T is pleased with the way the tournament has gone thus far.

According to Sukhdeo, apart from the male and female finals and the international cup, organisers have decided to have a third place play-off between the losing semi-finalists in the male category. That game will be the first of the four games planned for tomorrow and will commence at 14:00 hours. The international cup will follow after which the female final will be played; curtains will come down on the tourney with male final.

That aside, Sukhdeo also assured that the current level of rainfall will not influence tomorrow’s proceedings.

GT&T’s Chief Financial Officer, Royston Rachpaul said that the company has invested in excess of $50M in this year’s tournament that saw some 13,000 players taking part from across Guyana.
In the male category defending champions Wolf’s Warriors will seek to maintain their dominance and retain the title when they are challenged by Regal X1 while in the female category Trophy Stall Angels will face 4R Lioness.

Unstoppables will play Rockaway Auto Sales A XI in the male third place play-off while GT&T XI play Canada in the international cup.

The presentation ceremony will follow immediately after the final. Thereafter, fans will be treated to a concert.
