Food For The Poor makes donation of cricket equipment to several clubs

Food For The Poor (Guyana) Inc made donations of some $GUY1.2M of cricket equipment to several groups across the country.

Food For The Poor chairman of the board of directors Mr. Paul Chan-A-Sue, said that” the organization has see the need for more sport in the community and see it as a opportunity to help young people to be less on the streets and more taking up in sports”.


Food For The Poor (Guyana) Inc made donations of some $GUY1.2M of cricket equipment to several groups across the country.

The cricket equipment include bats, balls, Wicket keeping gloves, batting helmets, wicket keeping pads, batting pads and stumps with bails. The president of the clubs express their appreciation for the gear and give the assurance that it will be put to good use.

Some of the reviving groups are: Ace Warriors Cricket Club, Linden cricket club, Georgetown Cricket Club, Gandhi Youth Organization, Malteenoes Cricket Club. Vikings Cricket Club, 3rd Class Cricket club and Mashado Village Sports club.
